Add Expert Features To Your MySpace Page
Websites can be created easily using templates by MySpace users. Generic websites can be produced very quickly with these templates. For casual users who want to just keep in touch with existing friends or make new friends these websites would serve the purpose. But if a MySpace member is interested in offering additional features through the website or create a comprehensive website, more detailed knowledge about MySpace is required.
Playing music in the background in MySpace
Most of the Internet websites do not provide music in the background but it can be done very easily in MySpace. The following lists the procedure for adding music to a MySpace user’s profile.
* Check in to MySpace account
* Choose an appropriate song from the list provided
* By clicking on the Add button, the song gets added to the profile
MySpace allows only one song to be added to a profile at any time. Choosing another song replaces the previously chosen song in the profile. Removing a song can be done by clicking on the ‘Edit profile’ button in the account and then choosing the ‘Profile songs’ option wherein the chosen song can be removed.
Including videos in a MySpace account
Even including a video can be achieved very easily in MySpace. The video can be either the user’s original video or borrowed from the existing ones available on the internet. The following lists the steps involved in adding a video to a MySpace profile.
* Check in to MySpace account
* Click on ‘Add/Change Video’ button in the homepage of MySpace account
* A new webpage pops up wherein the user has the option of choosing from an existing database of videos or load his/her own video.
* Search video button lists the available videos which can be played before choosing.
* Including the chosen video can be achieved by either through clicking on ‘Add to profile’ button or the source code can be cut and pasted on to the required place in the profile.
* Including a user’s own video can be carried out by uploading the video first to MySpace and then adding it to the user’s profile. The terms of service of MySpace should be adhered to while uploading videos.
How to create interactive features in MySpace
Adding interactive features to MySpace is a bit more complex. Visitors to a MySpace account can interact with the user but it needs extensive knowledge of HTML language. The user has to become well versed in HTML by reading books on the language or researching the internet. If a similar interactive feature is found on another user’s website, the same can be obtained from him/her on request.
